Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Mar 12, 2019
8 am to 4 pm

This program teaches medical personnel to take care of cardiac emergencies that may be present in the acute care setting. Heart disease affects millions of people every year and makes up a significant number of patients seen in health care, so training in handling cardiac emergencies is a necessity. The program is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists. It's also a required course for paramedics in our EMS system as well as nurses in our critical care unit and emergency department. First-time students take a two-day course, while those seeking recertification enroll in a one day course. It is an American Heart Association course and is taught by SBLHC instructors.

Please contact the SBL EMS department at 217-258-2403 for registration information and price.
