About:The LifeSpan Center (LSC) is a multi-purpose intergenerational facility committed to the provision of excellence in service. The Mission of CCCoA is the enhance quality of life by promoting independence, dignity, self-fulfillment, and health for older adults in Coles County through advocacy, education, and provision of appropriate community- based services. The LSC houses all CCCoA sponsored programs: Dial-A-Ride public transportation; Family Caregiver Resource Center; Telecare; Life Span Center Volunteer Program; and LifeSpan Center Programs. Most services are available to all ages. In addition, through our community partnerships and collaborations, we facilitate social, educational, cultural, recreational, health and wellness, and volunteer opportunities for all ages. Myriad programs include: Support Groups (Dementia, Parkinson's. Caregiver, Grand parenting); Health Screening Clinics; Veterans events; American Cancer Society Wig Boutique and the "Look Good- Feel Better" program; AARP Smart Driver classes; "Dine with a Doc"; "Lunch with a Lawyer"; Fitness classes; Senior Health Insurance Programs; Family Theater movies; VITA income tax preparation; Library; Room Rental available to the community; Dinner Theaters; Sarah Bush Lincoln's Peace Meal Senior Nutrition Program; Attorney General's office hours; University of IL. Extension Programs; Class E Young Entrepreneurship Class; Mattoon Community Unit School District 2 "Ready to Read Across Mattoon" host site; and many other programs too numerous to name.
